Crewato

Add, edit, or archive a customer

Keep a record for every person or business you work for.

Before you start

  • You're signed in to your workspace.

Customers are at the centre of Crewato — quotes, work orders, and invoices all attach to one. Add a customer once and reuse them on every job.

Add a customer

  1. 1
In the left menu, click Customers, then New customer in the top-right.
  2. 2
Name (required)The customer or business name — this is the only required field.
  3. 3
Add a contact name, email, and phone if you have them. Email lets you send quotes and invoices and gives the customer a link to pay online, so add it if you can.
  4. 4
Optionally fill in their billing address and any internal notes.
  5. 5
    Click Create customer.

Need to record where the work happens? Open the saved customer and click Add location to add one or more service locations — a customer can have several (e.g. multiple properties).

Edit a customer

  1. 1
Open Customers and click the customer's name to open their page.
  2. 2
Click Edit, change any details, and click Save.

Editing a customer updates their details going forward. Quotes and invoices you've already sent keep the information they were created with.

Archive a customer

Crewato doesn't delete customers — you archive them. Archiving hides a customer from your active list while keeping their history (quotes, work orders, and invoices) intact, so your records stay complete.

  1. 1
    Open the customer's page.
  2. 2
    Click Archive in the top-right.

Changed your mind? Open the archived customer's page and click Restore to bring them back to your active list.
