Set up a recurring job
Automatically create repeat visits for maintenance contracts.
Before you start
- Recurring jobs are a Pro feature.
- You've added the customer.
Note · Recurring jobs are part of Pro.
A recurring job (service contract) spawns work orders automatically on a schedule — e.g. a quarterly furnace tune-up or a weekly lawn cut.
Create the contract
Like quotes and work orders, this is two steps: enter the details, then add the line items copied onto each visit.
- 1In the left menu, click Recurring, then New contract.
- 2Title (required)A name for the contract.
- 3Customer (required)Choose the customer, and a service location if they have one.
- 4First visit (date & time) (required)Each spawned work order is scheduled at this time of day.
- 5RecurrenceSet how often it repeats — e.g. every 2 weeks, or monthly. A plain-English preview shows the pattern.
- 6Optionally assign technicians (they're added to every spawned visit). Click Create contract.
Add the work
- 1On the contract page, click + Add template line for the labour and materials that should appear on every visit.
Crewato then creates upcoming work orders automatically in a rolling window, so you never have to remember to book the next visit.
